VISHWODAYA MULTIPURPOSE SOCIAL SERVICE SOCIETY
April 2024 to March 2025
Vishwodaya Multipurpose
Social Service Society (VMSSS) work towards building a just society of
love, honesty, integrity and equality by empowering women and weaker
sections of the society irrespective of caste and creed.
VMSSS continues
to extend the social activities in 4 villages at Umri, Pali, Ghuksi and
Gundhri villages of Parseoni Tehsil in Nagpur District. During the
financial year 2024-2025 VMSSS had one General Body Meeting and five
Governing Body Meetings. The present Governing Body Members of the

Vishwodaya Multipurpose Social Service Society supported by Manos Unidas
had implemented the project on “Education, Health and Livelihood
programmes for the Poor, Needy and Marginalized” in Umri, Pali, Ghuksi
and Gundhri villages of Parseoni Tehsil in Nagpur District. During the
year we had regular family visits, seminars and awareness programmes in
Umri, Pali, Ghuksi and Gundhri villages.
Every month various
activities were conducted in the villages. The villagers were motivated
and given guidance on Education, Health & Livelihood programmes and its
implementation. We conducted supportive classes for the children in
Umri, Pali, Ghuksi and Gundhri villages. People were happy,
satisfied and benefited from the project.
Women Empowerment
Life Skill Training for school dropout girls and
women:
Tailoring Course:
The Tailoring Courses were conducted at Umri, Pali and Ghuksi villages.
60 students completed tailoring course in three villages. 10 students
were provided with sewing Machines after completing the tailoring
course. After completion of the course, they started taking tailoring
orders and are able to sustain themselves economically.
Beauty Culture Course:
The Beauty Culture course
was conducted in Umri village. 10 students have successfully completed
the training in Beauty Culture course. They were given certificates.
Educational Empowerment: Summer Camps for children of Umri, Pali, and
Ghuksi villages
On 9th, 14th, 15th & 18th
May 2024 summer camps were organized for the children of Umri, Pali,
Ghuksi villages and children of Kushinagar slum at Vishwodaya. There
were about 185 children attended the camps. They were motivated about
the need and importance of education. The games and drawing competitions
were conducted. Children were happy to have the summer camps.
Home based support to HIV/AIDS
Patients:
We had home-based support to HIV/AIDS women and children from nearby and
far away in Nagpur. 40 HIV affected patients come to Vishwodaya once a
month. We provided additional nutrition and grocery kits. The Homeo
medicine protects them from the side effects of ART as well as increases
their immunity power.

Vishwodaya Multipurpose Social Service Society had supported for medical
treatment and purchase of medicines for three people:
29.7.2024, Milangress Paul from Lourdmatanagar for the treatment and
medicine amount Rs. 558/-
24.10.2024 Divika from Kushinagar for the eye treatment and medicines
amount Rs.1050/-
2.1.2025 Kripalata Francis from Martinnagar for the treatment and
medicines amount Rs.3000/-
Family Visit:
Sisters regularly visits the families in Martinnagar, Kushinagar,
Snehadeep Colony, Lourdmatanagar, Nara, Nari, Sugatnagar, Umri, Pali,
Ghuksi, Gundhri, the families of HIV/AIDS patients, orphans, families of
guided study children and skill training students. We extend moral,
material and psychological help through our presence, accompaniment,
guidance and works of charity. This year we have visited nearly 485
families.
Implemented Project
of Manos Unidas on “Education, Health and Livelihood programmes for
poor, needy and marginalized” at
Umri, Pali ,Ghuksi and Gundhri villages.
Manos Unidas had sanctioned a project on “Education, Health and
Livelihood programmes for poor, needy and marginalized”. We had regular
monthly meeting and review for 18 staff at Umri village which include
planning and evaluation of the activities that are conducted in the
village.
Every month different activities were conducted in all the four village
- Umri, Pali, Ghuksi and Ghundhri. The villagers were introduced to
livelihood program. They were given guidance and motivation about the
Livelihood programmes and its implementation. They were happy and
enriched from the help given by Manos Unidas project.
Monthly
activities conducted in Umri, Ghuksi, Pali and Gundhri villages
On 7th
June 2024,
the orientation programmes were conducted for the staffs on the
implementation of Manos Unidas project in four villages. There were 18
staffs for the project on “Education, Health and Livelihood programs for
the poor, needy and Marginalized” supported by Manos Unidas.
They were motivated to be
responsible persons to work for the people and being faithful in the
given task specially through the project of Manos Unidas, implemented in
Umri, Ghuksi, Pali, Gundhri villages of Parseoni Tahsil, Nagpur. There
were regular monthly staff ’s review meeting, training and evaluation of
the activity.
On 10th June 2024
we distributed of 3 types of
seeds for the Income Generative Programme (IGP) to 95 farmers from four
villages. The seeds were distributed for the farmers of Pali, Umri,
Ghuksi and Gundhri villages. The poor and needy farmers from villages
were selected as beneficiaries. They were happy to cultivate their
fields with given seeds from the Income Generative programmes supported
by the project of Manos Unidas.
The training session was organized for 10 selected farmers in Pali
village. The resource person was Rushidas Ramachandra Uikey from
Neyurwada village. He explained
about the soil preparation,
sowing, irrigation and proper fertilization. He encouraged farmers for
Organic farming which is healthy and nutritional. Demonstration was
given to the farmers about Organic Farming. The Farmers were
enthusiastic to learn the methods of organic farming. The farmers were
distributed the seeds as well as manure for the organic farming.
On 1st July 2024 the Educational aids were distributed for 150
students at four villages.
The supplementary classes were conducted for the
children in four villages. They are 150 children for the class age
groups of 4 to 13 years old. Every day children were guided by the
teachers in four villages. Children
were given motivation on the
importance of education, regular guidance and conducted extra-curricular
activities in Umri, Pali, Ghuksi and Gundhri villages.
On 25th and 29th July2024, the awareness sessions
were conducted in four villages. The resource persons were Suchita
Marshall Dabreo and Regina Lakra. They gave the awareness sessions for
children on Child’s Right, joyful & creative method of education.
Children were happy and interested for the sessions.
On 20th & 21st August 2024, we provided 80
Nutritional Ration kits support to the weak, old age widows and
differently abled in 4 villages. It gave them great help to have the
nutritional items for the supplement food and improvement of health.
On 12th &13th
September 2024, the awareness
sessions were conducted in four villages. The sessions were on health &
hygiene, various diseases, balance diets, use of herbal medicine. The
resource person was Dr. Ritesh Motwani from Nagpur. He explained the
various diseases due to less immunity power which affects them various
sickness. He also gave the importance of herbal medicine for the cure of
various diseases. People were interested in the sessions and asked
various questions and cleared the doubts about the health and its
preventions.
On 4th,
14th & 15th October 2024, the awareness sessions
were conducted in four villages. The resource persons were Mr.
Shivshankar Waghmare and Mr. Subham Raut. They explained well the social
issues of the present society. They explained about various Govt.
Schemes and encouraged people to get benefits from such Government
Schemes. They also
emphasized the importance and functions of Panchayati Raj.
On 22nd October 2024, exposure
program was organized for 40 farmers from four villages. They visited
agriculture fields at model village Kandri at Deolapar. Farmers were
guided by Mr. Jadhav on organic farming, use of Vermicompost and organic
fertilizer to improve soil fertilization.
On 20th & 21 December 2024, Awareness sessions were conducted
on career guidance and leadership for 40 youth at Umri, Pali, Ghuksi and
Gundhri villages. The resource persons were Mr. Chetan and Mr. Manoj,
renowned social workers from Nevarwada and Mahuli villages. The youth
were interested to benefit from the sessions.
On 28th January 2025 we organized educational exposure for 40
Youth to various NGOs in Nagpur. Youth were interested and enthusiastic
to visit the NGOs.
On 28th February 2025, we distributed 30 goats at Umri
village, for 30 beneficiaries as part of Income Generative Program for
poor and marginalized people. The beneficiaries were from Umri, Pali,
Ghuksi and Gundhri villages.
Celebration:
We had celebration of common
festivals at our Centre and in the villages.
Independence Day
& Flag Hoisting at Umri and Ghuksi villages, Students of supplementary

Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti:
students at pali village and Ghuksi were explained and
motivated about the life history
and leadership of Mahatma Gandhi,
who is Father of the Nation.
Celebration of Raksha Bandhan Festival: Students of supplementary
class at Umri Centre.
Deepawali
Celebration: At Vishwodaya and Umri along with patients, children, and
staffs.
Women’s Day celebration
Women from different villages performed dances and skits. The winners of
the games were given prizes. At the end of the program refreshment was
served to all participants. Women were contented about the program and
went back gladly to their homes.
Gratitude:

Vishwodaya Multipurpose Social Service Society supported by Manos Unidas
had implemented the project “Education, Health and Livelihood programmes
for the Poor, Needy and Marginalized” in Umri, Pali, Ghuksi villages and
Kushinagar slum at Nagpur. During the year we had regular family visit,
seminars and awareness programmes at Umri and Vishwodaya. Majority of
the people living in slum and villages live on meagre income.
Every month activities
were conducted at slum and villages. The people were motivated and given
guidance on Education, Health, Hygiene & Livelihood programmes and its
implementation. We conducted supportive classes for the children in
Umri, Pali and Ghuksi villages and for the children of Kushinagar at
Vishwodaya. They were
happy and benefited from the project.

Children’s
Parliament:
The children’s parliaments groups were formed in Umri, Pali, Ghuksi
villages and one at
Kushinagar slum. There were 4 groups of children’s Parliaments involved
100 children. They had regular guidance, extra-curricular activities and
given educational motivation every Saturday.
Charity / support for the school
Uniform:
Vishwodaya Multipurpose Social Service Society had helped 6 poor
students of Providence school for the purchase of School Uniform. The
cost for the Uniform amount spent were Rs. 5000/-
Implemented Project of Manos
Unidas on “Education, Health and Livelihood programmes for poor, needy
and marginalized” at
Kushinagar slum, Umri, Pali and Ghuksi villages.
Manos Unidas had sanctioned a project on “Education, Health and
Livelihood programmes for poor, needy and marginalized”. We had regular
monthly meeting and review for 18 staffs at Umri and Vishwodaya. The
staffs had monthly planning and evaluation of the activities conducted
in villages and kushinagar slum.
Every month activities were conducted at Kushinagar slum and 3 villages
Ghuksi, Umri and Pali. Efficient resource persons had guided the people
in slum and 3 villages. The
people were happy and profited from the benefits given by Manos Unidas
project. The people were introduced to livelihood program at villages
and Slum as well. The people were given guidance and motivation on
Livelihood programmes and its implementation. There were formed 4
children’s parliaments groups. Children were from Kushinagar slum, Umri,
Pali and Ghuksi

Monthly meeting for the
staffs at Vishwodaya and Umri
On 1st and 2nd June 2023
there were conducted orientation programmes for the staffs on the
implementation of Manos Unidas project in Vishwodaya and Umri. There
were 18 staffs for the project on “Education, Health and Livelihood
programs for the poor, needy and Marginalized’’ supported by Manos
Unidas. There were regular
monthly staff ’s review meeting, training and evaluation of the
activities. The staffs were motivated to work as committed animators and
village leaders at slum and villages. They were given guidance and
encouraged to be responsible person to work for the people and being
faithful in given task specially for the Manos Unidas project which had
implemented in kushinagar slum and Umri, Ghuksi and Pali villages of
Parseoni Tahsil, Nagpur.
On 15th June 2023
There were Distribution of seeds of 5 types of seeds for the Income
Generative Programme (IGP) support amongst 120 families from three
villages. The seeds were distributed for the farmers from Pali, Umri and
Ghuksi villages. The beneficiaries were selected the poor and needy from
villages. They were distributed 5 types of seeds for Income Generative
Pragrammes. They were happy and profited well from the Income Generative
programmes supported by Manos Unidas project.
In month of July 2023 we conducted two activities in 3 villages and one
slum
On 13th July awareness session on sustainable Agriculture and
Organic Farming practices at Umri, Pali and Ghuksi villages.
we conducted two activities in
the villages in the month of August 2023
On 10th August 2023,
it was organized the
demonstration for 30 Farmers on Organic Farming at Pali village.
The farmers from three villages came at Pali village for the
practical demonstration on Organic Farming. Mr. Satish the experience
person on agriculture guided and showed the demonstration on Organic
Farming. The Farmers were interested and prepared the Organic Manure and
had one practical Organic Farming cultivation
of Tomatoes and Burbati. It was successful and profitable.
In the month of October 2023
Medical camps were organized
in three villages and
one slum.
We coordinated with Asha Bhawan Nursing Home, Nagpur. The Medical team
consisted of
Dr. Humani Mankar, Dr Bharti Lanjewar,
Dr. Kashtoori, sister
nurse and assistant nurse.
Skill training Nursing assistant students also had come for Medical camp
in villages and slum. Students had the experience of attending medical
camp in villages and slum.
On 7th November 2023 we celebrated Deepawali festival along
with staffs at Umri and on 9th November along with Skill
training students at Vishwodaya.
On 21st December 2023, we distributed 40 goats at Umri for 40
beneficiaries for Income generative program for poor and marginalized
people. The beneficiaries were from Umri, Pali and Ghuksi villages.
On 29th December 2023, we organized annual get - together for
the staffs of Vishwodaya and staffs from 3 villages Umri Ghuksi and
Pali. They visited Provincialate. Sr. Vanita John Macwan the Provincial
superior interacted them and shared the activities of the sisters.
They were very happy to visit the Museum of Mother Marie Gertrude
at Mary Immaculate and surrounding Nagpur city.
On 30th December 2023 Children had Environmental Exposure Day
at Ramdham Farm House. The children came from Umri, Pali and Ghuksi
villages. They were 65 children
from 3 villages of Parseoni Taluka, Nagpur. They were happy and enjoyed
the day.
In the month of January 2024 these activities were conducted on 4th
January 2024 the Awareness session was conducted for the women of Umri
village on Legal education, women’s Rights & Law.
The resource persons were Mrs Vandana Meshram the women Police and
Mr. Pruthvi Chauhan. They gave the input session on Legal education and
women’s Rights & Law. Women were attentive and interested to know the
women’s rights and law. The police authorities assured their helping
hand in any difficulties to contact them at police station of Parseoni.
On 18th January
2024 we had Haldi kumkum programs
at Umri and Ghuksi Villages. On 19th January at
Kushinagar slum. It was initiated and organized by the leadership of
Self Help Group women from villagers and slum.
They had games, exchanging the gifts and refreshments. and slum.
The initiative was taken by the women of three villages.
On 24th January 2024 we were privilege to have the visit of
Mrs. Ana Victoria Luna Aguiar in charge of Manos Unidas project
along with Mrs. Monica Consulelo
Pattugalan. They visited 3
villages Umri, Pali, Ghuksi at Umri gram panchayat and Kushinagar slum
at Nagpur. They were enthusiastic and interested to meet the people in
the villages. They interacted with the people specially the
beneficiaries of the project. Sr. Daya Mathew accompanied them to visit
the villages and slum.
On 13th March 2024
we had training for Women group of Umri village, 10 women for
Livelihood- Pappad making at Umri village. Now they have learnt to make
papad and 3 women are cnitinuing and earning the income for their
livelihood.
Women’s Day
celebration:
We had organized women’s day celebration at Umri village on 11th
March 2024. There were about 130 women from Pali, Umri and Ghuksi
villages. At the beginning of the program some games were conducted for
the women. The women were enthusiastic and happy to participate in the
games. The winners were selected.
The chief guest of the programme was Mrs. Mangla Umraoji Nimbone, the
Chairperson of Panchayat Samiti, Parseoni Tahsil, Nagpur. But she could
not be present therefore she send representative person Mr. Sandesh
Malsunge the in charge of Self Help Groups at Panchayat samiti,
Parseoni. He gave the importance of International Women’s Day which is
celebrated every year with a unique theme and this year the theme was
“Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”.
He encouraged women to be courageous and stand in their own
status of life, giving importance to diversity and empowerment in all
aspect of society. He appreciated women and explained well about the
Government schemes and facilities are available for women through Self
Help Groups. He expressed his willingness and availability in helping to
implement various schemes available for the women.
Mr. Shubham Raut, the Sarpanch of Umri Group Gram Panchayat was present
for the programme. He appreciated the good works of sisters specially
the Social activities of Vishwodaya that are Education, Health
and Livelihood programs for the
people in three villages at Umri Gram panchayat. He was happy to be
present for the women’s day celebration. He extended his cooperation and
support for the activities conducted in the villages.
Gratitude:

by us in our needs to extend their helping hand.
We especially appreciate and thank our Superior General Sr. Martina
Francis and team for the guidance, love and encouragement and support.
We are grateful to our former president Sr. Alice Joseph and president
Sr. Vanita John Macwan and her
team for their interest and concern for the mission of Vishwodaya.
Our sincere thanks and gratitude to Manos Unidas for supporting the
people of 3 villages Ghuksi, Umri, Pali in Parseoini Tahsil and
Kushinagar slum at Nagpur
